Casino de Saint‑Honoré‑les‑Bains, Games, Dining & Social Fun in Burgundy
Nestled in the charming spa town of Saint‑Honoré‑les‑Bains in the Nièvre department of Bourgogne‑Franche‑Comté, Casino de Saint‑Honoré‑les‑Bains, popularly called Le Vegas, offers a welcoming blend of gaming, dining and social entertainment. Located on Avenue Jean Mermoz, this local casino provides a lively but relaxed atmosphere where both residents and visitors can enjoy gaming excitement complemented by comfortable amenities and friendly service.
🎰 Gaming & Games Available
The casino’s primary attraction is its gaming floor, which centers around a selection of about 50 slot machines. These include a variety of classic reel games, video slots and video poker options with minimum bets starting as low as €0.20, making them suitable for both casual players and dedicated gaming enthusiasts. A unique feature of the venue is the traditional French game La Boule, a chance‑based game similar to roulette that adds variety to the gaming experience.
Slots and La Boule are available during the casino’s opening hours, which typically run daily (seasonally varied) with extended late‑night hours on weekends and before public holidays. The accessible range of stakes allows guests of different budgets to play at their comfort level while enjoying the lively casino environment.
With its gaming focus predominantly on machines and La Boule, this casino offers a streamlined experience, perfect for those who prefer electronic play and light table game sessions in a social setting rather than a large selection of classic casino table games.
🍽️ Restaurant & Bar
Adjacent to the gaming area is a recently renovated restaurant that can accommodate up to 52 diners, offering a menu that includes à la carte dishes and set menus crafted with a focus on quality. The restaurant’s panoramic windows overlook the parc thermal, creating a pleasant dining ambiance where guests can enjoy meals before or after gaming. Families and non‑gamblers are also welcome here, as access to the restaurant is independent of casino entry requirements.
The bar provides a casual space for visitors to unwind with refreshing drinks between games. Open during casino hours, it’s a great place to relax, socialize and enjoy the vibrant yet relaxed energy that characterizes the venue.
🌿 Setting & Local Charm
The casino benefits from its location in a thermal spa town set amid the scenic landscapes of Burgundy, known for its historic architecture, healing waters and natural beauty. Saint‑Honoré‑les‑Bains itself is an attractive destination for visitors seeking wellness experiences, nature walks and cultural exploration. The casino adds a fun entertainment dimension to this setting, making it a pleasant stop for travelers exploring the Morvan region or locals enjoying a night out.
🚗 Practical Information & Amenities
Although the casino does not have an on‑site hotel, Saint‑Honoré‑les‑Bains offers several accommodation options nearby, including guesthouses and small hotels within walking distance, allowing guests to extend their stay for wellness, leisure and gaming experiences.
Whether you’re stopping by for a few spins on the machines, a scenic meal with friends, or a relaxing evening in Burgundy, Casino de Saint‑Honoré‑les‑Bains delivers a welcoming blend of entertainment and charm in a picturesque French spa town.
