Gentlemen's Poker Club Craiova, situated in Promenada Mall Craiova at Calea Severinului 61, was a renowned poker venue in the city. As part of the GPC network, it specialized in poker offerings, including regular tournaments and cash games. Despite its high Google rating of 4.8 stars from 167 reviews, the club is now permanently closed.
The venue provided a dedicated poker environment with professional tables and equipment. It attracted both local players and visitors seeking a competitive yet social poker experience. The setting within a shopping mall added convenience for dining and parking, although current operations have ceased.
In the broader context of Romania's gambling scene, the closure reflects the impact of the 2026 government ordinance restricting land-based gambling. This regulatory change has led to the shutdown of many such venues across the country, affecting players and operators alike.
For those interested in poker in Craiova, the permanent closure of Gentlemen's Poker Club marks a significant loss. The venue's legacy, however, remains through its past contributions to the local poker community and the fond memories of its patrons.
