An awesome evening for MDHF Night at the Races March 27, 2026. Such great cause. Also all the Mohawk Raceway staff and dinner staff were outstanding!!

Went to the races on Valentines Day and went for dinner at trackside, had reservations for 7pm, we ordered the Valentines Special and received the appetizer after 9pm and the main course after 10pm. I know we were not the only table who had issues , the waiter and manager indicated this is a regular occurrence especially on busy nights. When we did get the 8oz steak , it was terrible , and not what we ordered , I would say it was 4oz at best…… we did not receive the choc covered strawberries that were part of the fixed menu . We will never return to the the restaurant and I will certainly not recommend the restaurant to anyone. If you cannot have decent service and food you should not be open. I can honestly say it was the worst experience I have ever had in any restaurant .

We went to the Harvest Kitchen restaurant, which we've been going to for years. Sadly their latest menu change is horrible. There now is only one vegetarian main dish option. There used to be 2. The chicken tenders is one sliver of chicken and the bulk is coating which isn't cooked through because it's so much coating and mushy inside. The bruschetta is more bread and cheese (?) than actual tomato topping. The apple pie dessert isn't a pie, it's a cobbler in a pie pastry with more pie crust and oats than apple. The tiramisu brownie is a butterscotch cream over a fudge like tar at the bottom of the glass with some lady fingers which you pay $14 for both. Very disappointed. This used to be a favourite to go every few months to watch the races and have a good dinner. We won't be going back any time soon.

There were 13 of us who booked an evening out to enjoy the buffet and have some fun with pony betting. Thankfully, we still had a great time together—but now onto the disappointing part. The food and selection were shockingly poor, far below what you’d expect even at a basic Cuban resort. In fact, the service at a Cuban resort would easily outshine the service we received at Mohawk. For $188.00 for two people (one drink each, plus taxes and a mandatory 18% gratuity), we honestly would have had better quality and variety at a premium restaurant. The “hot food” options were ham, sliced turkey roll, burnt mashed potatoes, and a mysterious Alfredo something to. We ended up clearing our own plates because our server was nowhere to be found. I guess with an automatic tip added, there’s no incentive to actually provide service. Not once were we asked about food allergies—something we were asked daily at a resort in Mexico last year. And looking around the buffet area, we noticed how empty it was. Makes us wonder if others already knew to stay away and we just didn’t get the memo. Come on, Mohawk—this is supposed to be an enjoyable night out. You can do much better.

A racetrack that is very nice! Big grand stands that are glassed in, lots of lights, food hut outside as well as a bar with a good selection of drinks, a small patio area around the food hut to eat at, small smoking section, and lots of picnic tables, chairs and some patio couches. There is a trackside restaurant, usually you need reservations but they gave us a table in the back we couldnt see the track but they gave us drinks (even doubles, casino wont do that) and took our orders, the food took aome time but when it came it was yummy broccoli soup and the beef brisket with onion rings. It was pricey as expected and the bar tender was our waitress since we were seated so close to the bar, overall it was an ok restaurant it did the job and filled us up..

We come here for the special events and it never disappoints. Everyone there is so lovely, welcoming and friendly from all the servers and hosts to the lady in charge Heather who is the heart of the place. The food is phenomenal and it is always so much fun. Can't wait to go back again!
