I recently visited to try the new spring menu, and it was an absolute masterclass in seasonal dining. Each dish was out of this world, but here are the highlights: Starter: The Yorkshire Lamb Belly Skewer - perfectly balanced and packed with flavour. Main: The Shetland Halibut was a standout. The rouille mash and Provençal tomato sauce complemented the fish beautifully, and the confit fennel added a lovely depth. Dessert: You cannot leave without trying the Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb and Custard Trifle. It was easily the star of the show—simply sublime. The service was excellent throughout—attentive, professional, and added to the refined yet relaxed atmosphere. If you’re in Manchester, this new menu is a must-try!

We have been eating here since it opened. The atmosphere is lovely you can have a conversation without shouting , it has a lovely ambience with background music. All staff are very professional and polite. The food has always been fabulous the desserts are amazing!! real food cooked and presented very well , we just love it ! Today we were served by Shiraz he was attentive friendly super professional a credit to the team !

Had a wonderful afternoon/evening with the team all at James Martin, Manchester. Food was lovely. The setting is really nice and spacial so room to enjoy the experience but not overcrowded. Our waiter was Shiraz was superb, very personable, very knowlegeable about the menu and wine acompaniments and made our evening very enjoyable indeed. Looking forward to another visit. Well done to all the team.

Booked for the Bottomless Prosecco Afternoon Tea for my partner's birthday celebration and I have to say the staff were wonderfully attentive and friendly, the food was absolutely wonderful and who can complain with the Processo? The staff came over with a signed birthday card and I had paid for the Apron as additional and it was already waiting on the chair in a gift bag (signed). They were attentive to dietary requirements and even allowed us to sit at the table a little longer before assisting us to the lower floor bar to continue our afternoon whilst they prepared for the evening. Pavel was our waiter and he was funny and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We will definately be returning in the future as it was a great afternoon thank you so much.

Attended the James Martin establishment on Saturday. Access to restaurant is via a Casino ( would have been nicer with a more direct access point straight into the restaurant ) We had booth seating for 4 people which was comfortable and was well looked after by Tyler on the night who was very polite and asked if everything was OK very regularly. It was a pleasant eating experience, the food was well presented and the flavours could not be faulted. Money well spent on a not too overly priced menu.

Food was absolutely stunning, my partner took me here for my birthday the staff were extremely amazing especially Shiraz who was our server for the evening, they even gave us a glass of Prosecco and a card on the house for my birthday. 100% recommend to anybody going to Manchester atmosphere was luxurious and quaint. Very professional and luxurious quality food and service. Definitely will visit again in the near future.

Frequently visit James’ restaurant in Manchester and decided to take the plunge for one of his meet and greet events. Absolutely the best money I’ve ever spent in a restaurant bar none. The food was amazing with service to support. Five courses, all with wines included in the price, and entertainment from the great man himself in-between each course. Five hours of pure entertainment and delightful food from start to finish. Even got to meet James 😉

3 of us celebrated our birthday. Service was efficient and friendly. Atmosphere was chilled. The food was excellent. I enjoyed French onion soup and my sister raved over the scotch egg. The steaks were to die for and the chips the perfect crispy fluffy slabs of potatoes goodness. And then desserts... a pear souffle so light you almost forgot youd eaten too much, and the excellent sticky date pudding. A fabulous waiter - Shiraz - who made us feel like the only ones in the house, and a superb range of cocktails including alcohol free for the driver. A truly fabulous evening, topped off with birthday macarons and a card each. Can't reccomend enough.
