This was my third visit, and despite advertising, no poker tables were open on a Saturday when there were tournaments. There used to be a lot going on, but since it's only cash games, there's nothing happening! I won't be going back – it's an absolute disgrace! One star is too much.

I was at the classic table games on Thursday. No other customers were there, just me. I played blackjack, and six bored employees stood around me. ☹ I came back on Friday, and this time there were six customers at the poker table and ONLY two employees. 🤔 I wanted to play blackjack again, but it wasn't possible. One of the two employees said in a very unfriendly and rude tone: "Blackjack closed." I asked why. Answer: "No employees available." It makes you wonder what kind of poor organization they have there...

We arrived at the casino, granted i had left my passport/id to get downstairs, we decided to stay upstairs and were pretty much laughed at. i went to order drinks and the bar staff were quite clearly talking about me as i was standing right next to them. i felt embarrassed and completely uncomfortable as they clearly laughed about me and my partner. i highly recommend you do not come here and go elsewhere. the walk was not far from our hotel however the lack of decent hospitality made us leave feeling embarrassed and frustrated. If you decide to go to this casino, remember your identification or you will be laughed at and the horrendous bar staff will laugh about you. We had high hopes as me and my partner love to play a bit of blackjack however, this exchange has made us stay far away from any casino in Gran Canaria. Would not recommend!

I arrived on a Friday night to play the advertised poker cash game. I wasted an hour waiting for players to show up - there were only three waiting at the table. The ad said 5 player minimum but the director Nicole said they would start with four which is no fun especially when the rake is 30 euros. She pretty much begged me to stay offering a free drink and a dinner which I didn’t accept - I came to play poker! Nobody was at the entrance to greet me and check my passport so I had to go back upstairs to “register”. The whole atmosphere was sad and boring. Just lots of excuses on why there weren’t any players. I had heard that the casino makes “mistakes” when counting players chips - always in the favor of the casino - and players who don’t speak up will lose hundreds of euros just converting their chips into cash! Other players told me there’s a lot of arguing and slow rolling so it’s not a fun atmosphere. Dealers try to pressure you into giving them a tip. I returned the next night which was a Saturday for their advertised cash game but not one other poker player showed up. It’s amazing that they can’t even run ONE poker cash game on a weekend. Something must be wrong with the management.

I witnessed three different employees giving cash game poker players hundreds of euros less than they should have received. Theft? They insist that you color up your chips at the end of the night AT THE TABLE. But they don’t use chip racks and they make “mistakes”. One time they gave me 250 euros too little. Another time at the cashier window they gave me 200 euros too little (because they count without using chip racks unlike every other casino in the world). And a German guy went to the bathroom at the end of the night and the manager Nicole shorted him 300 euros but only gave him an additional 250 euro. On top of all the other dealer mistakes that happen several times each night, they don’t do side pots first which causes winning players to fold and makes counting the pot much more difficult. I asked three times to square up the table since 5 players were on one side of the table and 4 on the other. Finally after 20 minutes Nicole laughs at me saying I have plenty of room and I’m just being a “drama queen”. There is just no professionalism here. Later she lied and said she said it softly so other players could not hear the insult. They give out free food and expect the players to share tortillas from the same plate! I told Nicole that Covid is still around and she laughed and said it’s Spanish tradition to share food like this! Nicole wrote to me two months later "I'm not putting a gun in nobody's face to share the food if they don't want it. And maybe you didn't notice, but since you complain about it, I made the effort to bring more plates so anyone can have one for themselves.” One dealer was sneezing dozens of times while waiting to deal. She was obviously sick. She blew her nose several times and then sat down to deal cards without washing her hands. Disgusting. Dealers try to bully you into giving tips even though the rake is up to 30 euro per hand. I told Nicole and she laughed and said “This is Spain - they have to try”. Dealers don’t tell players who tip it’s their turn to show their cards first. This leads to many arguments. One Indian player continuously slow rolls and dealers don’t do anything about it because he tips. More than one player has left the game due to this and the game dies. When I said something, Nicole tells me I can “never” return to the casino. Later she says she was only going to ban me for one month. They treat customers like children. Moroccan players are allowed to repeatedly yell at other players and even threaten them with harm. “Come outside with me”. It’s just not fun. Here’s what Nicole wrote to me: “…. I consider myself an educated person, since I can't unfortunately say the same from you, since the last week when you left when I was try to speak with you in kind terms and you just walk away giving me your back as a response. Not to mention that I'm not that bad ad English, and I knew perfectly that you was about to call me stupid that time and I let it pass since I can understand your disappointment some times. But those are gonna be my last explanations. If you want, you can come to the slot machines when we arrange an appointment with my supervisor, and explain to him your version of the story.” I came back and the supervisor told me everything was up to Nicole since she is the director of the casino. She can be friendly but she doesn’t have the skills to manage employees. So that’s why hardly anyone shows up for poker cash games.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this casino. My passport was stolen, but I have a copy along with a police report as proof. Despite being able to fly internationally and show the necessary documentation, I was not allowed into the casino because they insisted on having the original passport. I tried to explain the situation, but they were not accommodating at all. It’s beyond frustrating to be treated this way, especially when I had all the proof needed. Won’t be coming back.
