Came to The Star for a friends last days in Brisbane before heading to her new life in Toowomba. It was a bonus that they had Karaoke that night also ...our friend had a gr8 night singing❤️ (Filipino)🤣🥰🥰

Fat Noodle restaurant is AMAZING, and the bar in the roof is an awesome place to kick off your night.

Nice e place, well presented, however, poor service, slow, and very confusing 😕 perhaps they need new management to pep the place up

Amazing views of South Bank on level 23. Service was slow when using the QR code to order. Food was good value considering the premium location.

It’s a fancy building, definitely worth to get on the lift to the sky deck, the view is spectacular and the vibes are so chill, there are lots of nice restaurants. The lobby’s staff wasn’t very friendly though.

This is a pretty nice hotel. The rooms are generously sized, beds are very comfortable, bathrooms are modern and clean. Service on the whole was good, they were prepared to send someone up to connect my Xbox to the TV, provide extra cups and utensils, promptly and room servicing was good and fast. The two things that were majors for me... The lifts are a nightmare. Not intuitive, noisy (CREAKY) and bouncy. The other issue was the absolutely abysmal state of the wifi. It was bad enough I called twice. It was similarly bad everywhere, with lots of packet loss. I've never stayed in a modern 5 star hotel and had Internet that bad before. It's a nice hotel with lots of nice restaurants but I wouldn't return on the wifi issue alone, there are plenty of nice hotels that have good internet. I can personally recommend Dark Shepherd, Cucina Regina, Azteca, but compared to Sydney, Sokyo is a bit of a let down. Not bad, just not as good.

The Star Casino was a highly recommended attraction for our recent first trip to Brisbane. My elderly parents and I were dropped off at the Star Casino by a ride-share. We were greeted by a friendly hotel staff ‘Atticus’ who provided direction on how to get to the sky deck from where we were. Given my mum has mobility issue, I asked if we could go through a shorter way. Atticus explained to us that the shorter way is only for hotel guests which we totally appreciate his explanation and proceeded to the direction to catch the elevator. To our surprise, Atticus came back to us and offered to escort us into the hotel lift straight to the sky deck to save us from the longer walk. I didn’t want him to get into trouble and want to ensure he was okay to do that for us. We are so appreciative of Atticus’s caring and compassionate nature towards the elderly’s needs. No doubt the sky deck itself was amazing and memorable! We had dinner at Babblers and the staff were lovely and food was delicious - best chips in town!

Honestly, Star Brisbane is such a great spot! The vibe just feels way better than Crown Melbourne — more relaxed, fun, and easygoing. The casino has all the games you could want, and everything feels well-kept and inviting. The staff are friendly but don’t hover — you can just enjoy yourself without feeling pressured. Overall, it’s the kind of place where you can have a good time, whether you’re there to play or just soak in the atmosphere. Really recommend checking it out if you’re in Brisbane!

It was an amazing experience to go up, and the best part was that it was totally free. The views from the top were stunning, especially standing on the concrete and glass areas—you really feel on top of the city. It’s a unique and memorable experience. There’s also a beautiful pub with a great atmosphere, serving nice craft beers, which made the visit even better. A perfect place to relax, enjoy the views, and take in the surroundings. Highly recommended for anyone visitin

I went here for an overall experience as I have never been before. I did not stay in the hotel merely walked around and then ate lunch in the casino food court area. Here are my honest thoughts about it all. The sky deck area is ok but missing the mark when it comes to having adequate shade on days like today when the sun is out and blazing down. Look the deck itself is nothing more than a little novelty really I have seen better see theough glass floors in my travels. The views were spectacular and definitely beats the stupid wheel of Brisbane in my opinion and for free. Now onto the casino upon trying to enter I am a 46 year old woman and having to show my ID was a bit of an overkill I mean I may not look 46 but I definitely do not look under 18 so these security need to get a grip. Then I always carry a small back pack and this man made me take it off and told me to carry it by my hand. Now I have been to the Star on the Gold Coast and the Star in Sydney and I have never been treated in the in my opinion disrespectful way ever. The food court however was pretty incredible far more than the one in Sydney and the Gold Coast so that is a win. I did not play in the casino but it did look very nice from what I did see. Overall, they do have some improvements they need to be made I do not want to be 50 and have to show my ID if its insanity now it will be worse then.
